Mission of Walewale CIC
The people of the West Mamprusi District have always wondered when and how they would also fully become part of the much talk about global village affairs. As the only largest town in the District of about 12% homes and 132310 people, Walewale has always been considered the desired service centre for people in the entire length and breadth of the area.
Some initial efforts have been made by private individuals to set up communication facilities and eventually Internet facilities, but all to no fruitful ends. The conception of a one-step multi-purpose communication and information services centre where people can with comfort and convenience get what they desire is leap forward for the area.
The mission of Walewale CIC is to ensure that people of all walks of life within and around the community have full access to information/ contribute to the development of the community and its catchments areas. The CIC is also a vibrant and well resourced and informed centre that has deep stock of information necessary for properly serving the information needs of the people, support their livelihood activities, reduce poverty, promote gender integration and offer basic computer literacy training to all.

Walewale first ICT Club
Walewale is going to have an ICT (Information and Communication Technology) club for the first time.
We hope to run it up to three times a week from 3-4pm for 20 junior high school students (10 boys and 10 girls). It will be run on days when there is no market. We hope the community will understand that at these times the computers will be reserved for the students of the ICT club. Thank you for your co-operation.
After the first group have completed their 18 sessions, then other children can apply to join for the next set of sessions.
This club is organised at the CIC in Walewale.
The main objective of the CIC is to train and make Internet service available for the people.
It is located just about hundred metres away from the Tamale- Bolgatanga road, overlooking the District Education Office. It is beside the Local Authority Primary 'A' school block.
It has ten (10) computers at the moment and hopes to get more.
The CIC will always like to meet interested members from all over and also volunteers who have come to help students and orphanages.
Hope it will be beneficial to all.
