The reason for establishing this website is to provide an inside understanding to people that visit the Walewale Computer Lab and to also create a room for people to share both their experience and what the Community can offer them. The Management of the Walewale Computer Lab provides services to the satisfaction of its customers to let them feel at home. Thank U for stopping by!

Mr.Mark Akansighe and Mr.Mahama.I.R.Mashood are the trainers of the Walewale CIC. And have so far contributed greatly to the welfare of the Centre. Mr.Mark in white and Mr.Mashood in the green tie and dye.
It is also important to mention that, the Director of the Ghana Education Service for the District has the interest to initiate a program on ICT for all schools across the Community which is yet to take off. This initiative is supported by Mrs.Mike Cashman (Charlotte) of V.S.O from Britain, who works as a teacher support officer at the G.E.S.
With this initiatives, we hope that this will go a long way to help schools in the Community which are lacking ICT teachers.

CIC ICT CLUB
Walewale CIC is improving on the lifes of the people in the Community. The Walewale CIC has formed an ICT CLUB for the youth in the Community. And as we speak now, it has 40 young boys/girls under going training at the centre.
Not only has it formed a club, but also, school's like the Brilliant Stars Academy which is from KG1(one) to primary 1(one), also benefit from the centre.
It is therefore important to note that, the Walewale CIC's aim of making all people within the Community ICT literate is coming to pass.
It all started when Mr. & Mrs. Mike Cashman of the V.S.O visited the Community Information Centre. They were welcomed by Mr. Mahama.I.R. Mashood of the Community Information Centre.
Mr. Mashood asked the two couples of their mission and after a whole lot of discussions, he explained the mission of the C.I.C to the two visitors. One of the missions of C.I.C which caught the hearts of Mr. & Mrs. Mike was the fact that there are available computers of ‘10’ at the centre, but students don’t make good use of them. This is one of the missions of C.I.C, to make all people within the community ICT literates.
The first thought that came to the minds of the three, was to start an ICT club for the students which was to be free of charge. This idea was also welcomed by Mr. Mark Akansighe a worker of the C.I.C who even came out with a lot of ideas, like getting a projector for the tuition and also getting the D.C.E involve, since he was the general administrator of the District.
Mrs. Mike Cashman (Charlotte) as every one called her thought it was good to start with L/A J.H.S since it was just near to the centre. (The nearest is the dearest).
A proposal was written to the Headmistress of L/A J.H.S (Madam Alice), one send to the D.C.E (Hon. Sulley Abudu Zakaria) and also to the parents of the students. So that all could be involve in building a strong ICT Club.
The club started with (10 boys & 10 girls) to make a gender balance.
THE CLUB IS FOUNDED BY MR.MAHAMA.I.R.MASHOOD & MRS.MIKE CASHMAN (CHARLOTTE) OF V.S.O
AND ASSISTED BY MR.MARK AKANSIGHE & MR.MIKE CASHMAN OF THE V.S.O.
MOTTO: IT SKILLS FOR ALL.
