In his address, Alhaji Mohammed Haroona emphasised that the only way we can aspire for greater heights is through education and urged parents to always ensure that their wards not only go to school but also stay and study hard. He thanked the community members especially the chief for accepting the responsibility of accommodating teachers and instituting such an excellent measure banning all sorts of entertainment such as record dance, video shows, concerts and any form of entertainment that would not allow children to study in the night. This has one way or the other enabled the children to have ample time for their studies and hence the success they have chalked. He urged both parents and teachers to work hand in hand for the progress and development of the children and the community. As a sign of appreciation for what the school and the students have done, the Director donated a set of Jerseys, football and a desktop computer to the school. He also donated another set of jersey to Mimima JHS and a cash of GH ¢20.00 to the teachers of kparigu JHS.

The chief of Kparigu Naa Mahama Salifu (Kpanaa) thanked the Director for the good leadership he has shown and promised to assist the Director and the school teachers to achieve more success. He called on all community members to always be serious in their children’s education most especially the girl-child and advised them not to give them out to men to marry. He said the directive banning entertainment in his jurisdiction was a challenge because the youth thought he was denying them the right to entertain themselves. He said the BECE results have vindicated the directive- there was 100% performance in last year’s BECE, teenage pregnancy and other social vices have also reduced. He however appealed to the Director to facilitate provision of teacher’s quarters to accommodate the teachers and also appealed for the absorption of a watchman the community employed.
